It's been a good few days to be Brian Vickers. Less than 48 hours after winning the CarFax 400 (and just a few more after becoming a hero to the anti-Kyle Busch crowd), Brian Vickers has signed an extension with Red Bull Racing.
Exact terms of the extension were not announced, but it's presumably a good deal for both sides, given Vickers' growing presence on the track. Since joining Red Bull, Vickers has one win, seven poles, eight top-five and 22 top-10 finishes, and he's knocking on the door of the Chase this year. Vickers would have almost certainly been one of the top free agents on the market had he gotten there, so nice job to Red Bull for getting him locked up for awhile.
Now, the next question is: what kind of car is he going to be driving next year? And after that, will he have Brad Keselowski as a teammate?
