Here comes the rain again; race pushed to Monday @ noon

Another week, another Monday race! Awesome! We'll be right on the main page at the chat, starting at noon, so if you're reading this during race time, by all means come and hang with us. This is one of the shorter races on the circuit, so don't be late.

And yes, I led off with a headline cribbed from a Eurythmics song. Sue me, it was what fit. Here are a few choices that didn't make the cut ...

• "Do you know me? I'm the driving rain ... " (Gov't Mule) -- Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but okay.

• "I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?" (Creedence) Sort of an obvious question.

• "Seems it never rains in Southern California ... " (Albert Hammond) Yeah, but we're in upstate New York.

• "I only want to see you laughing in the purple rain ... " (Prince) Only if you're Denny Hamlin, I guess.

• "Red rain is pouring down, down all over me ... " (Peter Gabriel) Hmmm. Not even sure what this one means to begin with.

• "It's hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain." (Guns n' Roses) Hard to hold the track in warm August rain, too.

• "I'm only happy when it rains ... " (Garbage) You'd be the only one.

• "Now that it's raining more than ever, know that we still have each other, you can stand under my umbrella ... " (Rihanna) I heard Robby Gordon and Joey Logano humming this tune together.

• "Raining blood from a lacerated sky ... " (Slayer) If Kyle Busch wins the championship, the skies will indeed rain blood, but we're not there yet.

Yes, we're scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Join us at noon and we'll see if we can come up with some more material.
