And for his next trick, Kyle Busch will kick a puppy, steal cookies from Girl Scouts and blow his nose on the American flag!
Busch slammed the door on Ron Hornaday's bid for six Truck Series wins in a row Wednesday night, keeping Hornaday and Matt Crafton at bay to take his second straight win at Bristol and his third truck victory of the season.
Hornaday finished third, and despite what I wrote above, it's not like Kyle should have done anything to let Hornaday win. Busch clearly had the best truck and the skills to maneuver it around the half-mile bathtub that is Bristol. Here, check him out running three wide in the closing laps:
For his part, Hornaday sounded somewhat relieved to be free of the streak:
"I'm sort of glad it's over so I can quit talking about it and go racing again," he said. "It's been a great ride. It's been a lot of fun and we hope to start a new one. We're not done yet."
Congrats to Kyle, and a better-luck-next-time to Hornaday. That kid's goin' places, I tell you what.
