Remembering the July that was @ The Marbles

We throw a lot of posts at you here at the Marbles, and we expect you to keep up. But sometimes real life gets in the way (it did with this post, which was supposed to run yesterday, but there was the matter of that race ...) So on the off chance you've missed one or two -- shame, shame, but it happens -- here are some of the best bits of the past month. Enjoy!

• Debate of the month: which of today's stars could have cut it in NASCAR's olden times? Have at it!

• Wreck of the month: Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch tangled on the final lap of the July 4th Daytona race. Fireworks!

• OMG! Danica Patrick visited Tony Stewart's shop! Could there be a third car in the offing?

• And speaking of Tony Stewart -- it was kind of unofficial Smoke month here at The Marbles -- he answered Marbles fans' questions in an exclusive Q&A.

• Hey, you! Loser! Jimmie Johnson wants to turn you into a winner, so pay attention!

• NASCAR announced its Hall of Fame nominees, and did a fine job with its selections.

• Scary story: few dirt track racers have any kind of insurance, and are just one bad wreck away from ruin.

• Love him, hate him, you can't overstate Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s importance to the sport of NASCAR.

• Jimmy Fallon: Worst. NASCAR starter. Ever.

Thanks to all of you for all you did in supporting The Marbles this month, and come on back for a fine August!
