Dale Earnhardt Jr. led the morning practice at Bristol Motor Speedway at 123.372 miles per hour. David Reutimann was second fastest at 123.229 miles per hour and David Ragan third at 123.047 mph.
Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch rounded out the top five. Carl Edwards was slowest in practice.
The Cup cars will get back out onto the concrete in about 30 minutes for Happy Hour.
