Earnhardt can't explain rough finish | IndyStar.com | The Indianapolis Star: "'No way they're going to let that thing go green like it was all day. We could have gotten a couple cars on pit road and a couple more on those restarts that are so much fun.'
Earnhardt's issue provided the last caution of the race.
The car Earnhardt used Sunday was in its first run with McGrew as chew chief. McGrew became Earnhardt's crew chief in a Hendrick Motorsports shake-up in late May.
Earnhardt emphasized three times that the car will be on track next weekend at Pocono.
'It's really good in the wind tunnel, and we've made quite a few changes with the basic construction of the car and (Earnhardt) really likes it,' McGrew said.
'Obviously we came here, unloaded, qualified third and ran in the top 10 all day. This place has always directly related to Pocono. If the car runs good here, you'll run good at Pocono.'"
