Okay, Jimmie Johnson won the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. Big deal. We'll go over what that means later on today in the Chase Watch. What everyone wants to know is, what was the deal with Juan Pablo Montoya? Dude was winning the race going away, and to give it away on a speeding penalty in the pits ... aaaaagh.
It's easy to go and blame NASCAR for this one, and 0.11 mph doesn't seem like much of a big deal -- that's slower than you can walk. But factor in the fact that NASCAR gives drivers a five-mph cushion, plus the fact that when you've got a five-second lead on the field you should be crawling down Pit Road, and, well, it gets a little tougher to ladle all the blame on NASCAR. Stinks for Montoya, but the way he's running now, he'll be in Victory Lane soon enough.
