Victory video: Stop me if you've heard this 48 story before

Anybody doubt Jimmie Johnson anymore? Can anybody realistically argue -- without relying on tired, hack, worthless "cheating" or "rigged" arguments -- that Jimmie Johnson isn't the best driver in NASCAR today, and one of the best ever? On a day when he had to run reasonably well but didn't necessarily need a win, Johnson didn't just show up and perform well -- he turned in the most dominant race of the year by any driver. Here, check it:

Was it a boring race? Absolutely. It was one of the dullest affairs of the year, but sometimes relentless domination can look boring from the outside. For Jimmie Johnson and his fans, though, this one was a delight, an exclamation point on another outstanding season.

Side note: we're hearing a lot more from Jimmie's fans these days, people who after three-plus years are finally getting bold enough to stand up to JJ's critics. Now, certainly some of these "fans" are bandwagon-jumpers and probably have Yankees, Lakers and Patriots jerseys in their closets. But for the 48's true-Lowe's-blue fanbase, these are the Good Times, and they're well-deserved.
