Dale Jr finished 10th in Las Vegas yesterday. This leaves him 29th in points but trailing team mate and points leader Jeff Gordon by only 267.
The Vegas race for Junior was again harder than it should of been due to pit road mistakes - one by Junior and one by Gordon. Junior sped, as did a lot of other drivers, and had to fight back from being a lap down. After he made up his lap he then was victimized when Jeff Gordon missed pit row and blew a tire when he skidded leaving Hendrick team mates Johnson and Earnhardt on pit row when the yellow came out. Johnson went a lap down but Earnhardt was able to stay on the lead lap but lost valuable spots on the track dropping from 7th to 16th.
The good news is Atlanta and Bristol are coming up where Junior has finished in the top ten more than half the races he has started at those tracks.
