This is why this gig is awesome -- you're tapping away on a post or two, and all of a sudden something like this comes over the email. From last month, and courtesy of reader/assistant editor Carol, this is video of Robby Gordon starting out at the Baja 500. And no, you clowns, he doesn't go straight into the wall. Far from it.
First off, turn down your speakers. Did you do it? Okay, good, do it again. This is LOUD. Now, behold this awesomeness, as Gordon rip-asses his way out of downtown Ensenada, through what appears to be a drainage culvert, past wandering people and pets on the outskirts of town, down a straight-shot highway, and finally into the desert. Enjoy:
There are a million little things to love about this video, like the kid at 1:23 who starts to cross the street in front of Gordon and wisely thinks better of it. Post your faves in the comments below.

Awesomeness! Anyone who knows about Robby outside of NASCAR knows his all-around driving skills are top notch.
In the video, I love when he has to fly a jump left side high as he passes the other truck.
Nice blog. Cheers.
