1952: Buddy Shuman wins his only NASCAR race and the only NASCAR race run at Stamford Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Seventeen cars begin the 200-lap race on the half-mile dirt track, but only three are running at the end. Herb Thomas finishes second two laps back, and Ray Duhigg finishes third, seven laps behind Shuman.
